Mother of Jackson's Accuser Stands Accused

Some people just like spending time in court, I guess...

The mother of the boy who alleged he had been molested by pop idol, Michael Jackson (No, not the first boy. I mean the latest one.), was arraigned in court on charges of welfare fraud. According to the AP, the woman apparently collected nearly $20,000 in welfare checks between 2001 and 2003, failing to notify authorities that she had recieved $150,000 as a result of another lawsuit with a department store chain-you see what I mean? This girl's pretty litigious.

Appearing before a superior court, the woman waived her right to a preliminary hearing and left without speaking to reporters. This has done nothing to strengthen the credibility of her or her child's claims of sexual abuse with Jackson's enraged fans, some of whom have made it clear they hope prosecutors make sure she spends some time in the prison system that Jackson found so icky. However, the AP reports that jail time is not usually handed out as a sentence for first-time offenders involved in such small-time fraud cases.

Jackson, who currently resides somewhere in the Mid-East kingdom of Bahrain, was unavailable for comment.
