Mr. and Mrs. Smith Speak on Behalf of Their Sexuality

Rumors on homosexuality are untrue, they claim.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith have a great sex life. That's abundantly clear in their response to the question they've been asked dozens of times: how they maintain a successful Hollywood marriage. But is there a more sordid side to their marriage maintenance?

As of late, there have been a myriad of tabloid rumors about a more taboo side to their marriage. Primarily that they sustain it through the public hiding of their true sexuality.

These are not comments to be thrown about lightly, especially when you're talking about an extraordinarily successful power couple that's worth hundreds of millions.

In a radio interview on Tuesday, as reported by Perezhilton.com, Jada Pinkett Smith dealt with the rumors. "I've heard all the things — their marriage is not real, he's gay, she's gay, they swing. But at the end of the day, people have to believe what they have to believe. . . . One thing Will and I are not here to do, is like, what's real for us is what's real for us, so you can either get on that bandwagon or not. I'll tell you what, it's too hard to be in a pretend marriage. Life's too short for that one."

Will Smith agrees, "You have to let that roll off you. There's a natural narcotic my brain must pump, because negativity doesn't last."

They are generous and amiable people, and it is likely they are telling the truth. Then again, weirder rumors have turned out to be true in the gossip of Tinsel Town.
