MTV Covers Live 8 Concerts for Far-Away Fans
The channel and its sister networks will broadcast some show live for those who can't physically attend
If you're concerned that you're not going to be able to catch the Live 8 concert performers, well...live, don't fret because MTV and its sister networks around the world are going to go live for an extended period on July 2nd to cover the concerts, which will raise awareness of global poverty and hopefully push richer nations to take action at the July 6-9 summit. Here in our neck of the woods, MTV, VH1, and the college network mtvU will air a shared live feed from noon to 8 p.m. ET Saturday July 2nd to cover shows in Philadelphia, London, Paris, Berlin, Johannesburg, and elsewhere for us geographically challenged fans.
