Music Videos Return to YouTube
The New York Times online reported that YouTube.com has officially made a deal with the Warner Music Group to return the label's music videos to the popular website.
After a disagreement over licensing, Warner pulled their videos off the site for nine months. However, both companies will probably do a lot better working together. YouTube is responsible for almost half of all online video views, which would make it an ideal place to play music videos and expose new music to audiences worldwide. Since the music industry has taken a hit with CD sales, YouTube might be an alternative solution to reel in consumers.
Warner and YouTube will share advertising revenue, and according to the LA Times, Warner's music videos will be back on YouTube as soon as December.
