Nancy Kerrigan’s Brother is Responsible for Her Father’s Death
District Attorney Gerard T. Leone Jr. revealed on Tuesday that medical examiners have come to a conclusion that the death of 70-year-old Daniel Kerrigan, who is the father of former U.S. Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, has been ruled a homicide. Daniel Kerrigan passed away on Sunday, January 24th after suffering from a heart attack and experiencing cardiac arrest following a physical altercation with his son, Mark D. Kerrigan.
Leone Jr. released a statement earlier today to provide clarification about the results that have been provided by the medical examiners involved in the case. The statement reads, “The Medical Examiner determined that the cause of death was cardiac dysrhythmia following a physical altercation with neck compression causing injury to the neck in the form of a cartilage fracture to the larynx area, in a person with hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular heart disease.”
The attorney went on to state that the investigation is ongoing and that he has not decided as of yet whether or not to charge Mark D. Kerrigan with murder, according to Boston.com. While Nancy Kerrigan has not individually commented publicly in response to the tragic homicide of her father, the Kerrigan family has released a statement to express their belief that Daniel Kerrigan’s pre-existing heart condition was the true cause of his death.

With such reports
With such reports and all the information gathered, Mark D. Kerrigan does not look like he is in good shape to walk away from this horrible disaster without being charged for the death of his father. Yes, his father did have a pre-existing heart condition, but the evidence that is presented, as of now, shows that the physical altercation between him and his father helped with causing the heart attack and eventually his death. I hope everything works out for the best and all my regards to the family for their loss.
I hope that his son Mark
I hope that his son Mark Kerrigan was not the cause of his death. This could tear a family apart even more than they are right now in this horrible time of grief. Obviously right now they do not have enough evidence to charge Mark Kerrigan with murder, but it will be interesting to see how the investigation plays out. I do think the physical alteration with neck compression is more than just a heart condition.
