Naomi Campbell charged with second-degree assault
Super model Naomi Campbell was arrested and charged in New York with second-degree assault Thursday morning after allegedly hitting her former housekeeper with a phone. Prosecutors say the former housekeeper, Ana Scolavino, needed four stitches in the back of her head following the incident. Campbell denies the charges claiming Scolavino is trying to retaliate for being fired for stealing.
According to reports the 35-year old model plead guilty in 2000 to hitting her former personal trainer in the head with a telephone. Then in 2003 the model was sued by Simone Craig, a former administrative assistant, who claimed Campbell hit her and held her captive. A year later a former maid claimed the model slapped her in the face. Campbell's next court appearance is set for June 27.
