Naomi Campbell Has Surgery in Brazil

Naomi Campbell spent five days in a Brazilian hospital after undergoing surgery on Sunday. According to Reuters, Campbell remained in the hospital for five days and left on Friday.

A spokesman for Campbell claimed the supermodel had a cyst removed, but her surgeon, Dr. Jose Aristodemo Pinotti, denied this statement. Pinotti told a Brazilian newspaper on Friday that Campbell did not have a cyst, but because of doctor-patient confidentiality he declined to announce any details about the surgery.

The 37-year-old model visits Brazil on a regular basis. She has been seen and photographed at parties with Brazilian celebrities.

According to Brazilian media, Campbell was recently engaged to a 49-year-old Brazilian financier, Marcus Elias, who visited her during her hospital stay. The couple met earlier in February at a fashion party in Sao Paulo.
