Naomi Campbell a no-show in court

Naomi Campbell apparently did not think her newest court date was not important enough to make her show up.

The 35-year-old model did not appear in court today on charges she assaulted her former maid with a cell phone last March. The judge initially issued an arrest warrant for Campbell, but later rescinded when her lawyer's said they informed the prosecution she was not going to be there and the prosecution agreed not to seek a bench warrant, according to E! Online.

"I want to make it clear that she is absolutely obliged to appear at the next hearing," Judge James Gibbons said, and reported by E! Online. "If she fails to appear on that court date, the warrant will go into effect."

Campbell's attorney said the model was considering a plea deal, but offered no details about the deal or how close Campbell was to her decision.
