Natalie Cole is Also Out for Michael Jackson Tribute
Natalie Cole will not be participating in the Michael Jackson tribute presented by Jermaine Jackson in Vienna, Austria, the singer's representative told TMZ.
Instead, Cole will be attending an event with the Dalai Lama in Memphis, Tenn., about the same time. The tribute will take place on Sept. 29.
Earlier, it was reported that Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown will not be attending the tribute. Interestingly enough, all three artists are still displayed on the web site for the event.
Blige told MTV News she is sorry she cannot attend the event.
"There's a lot going on at the timeI'm really, really sorry that I'm not gonna be able to be there," she said. " 'Cause why wouldn't I want to do a tribute to Michael Jackson?"
Blige went on to say that Jackson's music meant a lot to her and that he was the reason she pursued a musical career.
