Natalie Portman Splits with Rocker Boyfriend

Natalie Portman and rocker Devendra Banhart are splitsville, reports People and Access Hollywood.

A rep for Banhart had no comment, but a source close to Portman is reported to have talked to Us Weekly and said that the two were just very "different."

"Things just weren't working out, Natalie is young and they just were very different ultimately," the source said.

The source continued saying of Portman, "She's really a free spirit. She's complicated because she's very serious about her career and smart but also artistic and free-thinking. It's tough to match."

The two met through an act of charity when Portman had Banhart donate one of his songs to iTunes for the "Big Change: Songs for FINCA" campaign.

In July, she worked again with the singer, appearing in the video for his song, "Carmensita," with the two becoming an official item quickly afterward.

Not much else seems to be known about the breakup details at this point, but apparently it's official that Portman is no longer a fan of the folk rocker.
