Natalie Portman Won’t Be Naming Her Baby Oscar

Natalie Portman, 29, may have won her first Oscar this past Sunday, but the pregnant actress doesn’t plan on naming her baby after the prestigious award, reported Access Hollywood.

Backstage at the show, she was asked by a reporter, “Would it be too crazy to think you might name your baby Oscar?” to which Portman responded in agreement, jokingly, “I think that’s probably, definitely out of the question, yeah,” she laughed.

Portman had spent all of awards season pregnant and now that it is all over she is looking forward to taking it easy.

“The next dream I have in terms of very short term future is staying in bed, not having to do my makeup or hair, and keeping my sweats on, relaxing,” she said. “And for my child, I mean… just to be happy and healthy I think is what every parent could ever wish for.”

Along with taking it easy, she is also accepting the unknown, "one of the most exciting things about being pregnant is that I just… I’m accepting the complete unknown, it’s a complete mystery and miracle,” she said. “And, yeah, it’s really just accepting that I have no idea, which is what all of us live every day.”

Portman is due this summer and is rumored to be expecting a boy.
