National Treasure Strikes Gold Again
National Treasure has a lot to be thankful for this past post-Thanksgiving day weekend earning an additional $17.1 million and the number one spot at the box office. Jon Turteltaub film has earned a grand total of $110.2 million in its third weekend of release.
The adaptation of John Grisham's novel, Christmas with the Kranks, came in at number two earning $11.7 million. Animated features invaded the box office top ten with the enchanting CGI Christmas film The Polar Express came at number three, and The Incredibles and SpongeBob at four and five.
Closer, the Mike Nichols' drama filled with infidelity, premiered this weekend at sixth, while Oliver Stone's epic Alexander continues to fall at seven. Rounding out the top ten this weekend are Finding Neverland (8), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (9), and Ray (10).
