NBC Cancels "The Megan Mullally Show"
After the series finale of Will & Grace last May, actress Megan Mullally is finding herself without a television show once again.
The Megan Mullally Show, the star's syndicated daytime talk show, was cancelled after less than five months of poor ratings, NBC Universal Television Distribution announced Wednesday.
The show averaged only a little over one million viewers every day since its September debut, far overshadowed by the eight million viewers watching The Oprah Winfrey Show.
"I am extremely proud of the show we created and am thankful for the passion and tireless efforts of (executive producer) Corin Nelson and the entire staff," Mullally said in a statement.
Mullally, who NBC Universal praised as "one of the most talented people in our business," played Karen Walker on the eight-year hit, Will & Grace. Mullally starred alongside Sean Hayes, Debra Messing and Eric McCormack.
New and rerun episodes of the show will continue through January.
