NBC Universal has taken Lifetime to court to keep the hit show, "Project Runway."

Bravo's hit designer competition, Project Runway, has caused NBC to fight for its rights in court against Lifetime, reported the New York Times. Monday, Bravo's parent company filed a lawsuit in the New York state court in Manhattan against the Weinstein Company.

According to Variety, NBC is upset with the agreement Harvey Weinstein contracted with Lifetime on Feb. 7. NBC claims, Variety reported, that Weinstein did not reveal the offer from Lifetime for Runway to NBC.

One NBC representative said, reported Variety, "They've been sold stolen good."

Project Runway is Bravo's biggest success, reported Broadcasting & Cable.

Should NBC not win the lawsuit, season six of the Heidi Klum-hosted show will premiere on Lifetime next fall.
