NBC Renews Its Thursday Night Line Up

'Community', '30 Rock', 'The Office', and 'Parks and Recreation' are all returning next season.

NBC has decided to renew its Thursday night comedy line up. 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, The Office, and Community have all been picked up for another season by the network.

That means a fifth season for Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin's 30 Rock, a comedy about the crazy cast and crew at the fictitious late night sketch comedy show "TGS", and a third season for Amy Poehler and the cast and crew of Parks and Recreation. The Office, starring Steve Carell, will begin its seventh season next fall.

The news was extra sweet for the cast of NBC's newest hit comedy, Community, a show that follows star Joel McHale's character, Jeff Winger, as he returns to community college and meets a wacky group of fellow students.

The cast shared their feelings on Twitter after getting the news that the show had been picked up for a second season. Yvette Nicole Brown, who plays Shirley Bennett, tweeted, "We just got called into the make-up trailer and told that WE GOT PICKED UP FOR A SECOND SEASON!!! Yay! More #Community next year, guys! :)"

Danny Pudi, who plays Abed, said, "Drizzle drizzle! NBC picked us up for Season 2 of Greendale shennanigans. Thank YOU for watching and Thank YOU cast/crew for the best job!"

Catch the entire line up Thursdays on NBC.
