NBC Tinkers With Its Fall Lineup
Related to the announcement of the return of Heroes, NBC has also announced the schedule and season premiere for many of its other shows.
The biggest change the network announced that differs what it announced to advertisers at the April up fronts is that new comedy Kath & Kim will be a part of the Thursday night comedy block starting Oct. 9. It was originally scheduled to follow The Biggest Loser, which will be expanded to two hours next season.
The change pushes the series of prime-time Saturday Night Live election episodes from 9:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays in October, delaying the premiere for 30 Rock until Oct. 30.
With America's Toughest Jobs moving from the summer of 2009 to the fall of 2008, the premiere of Knight Rider will be pushed back to Sept. 24.
The following are other shows and the dates for their season premiers: Law & Order: SVU (Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 10 p.m.); Lipstick Jungle (Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m.); My Name Is Earl, The Office, ER (Thursday, Sept. 25, all of which are hour-long premiers, staring with Earl at 8 p.m.); Chuck (Monday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m.), Life (Friday, Oct. 3 at 10 p.m.),
