Maybe this decision was a mistake...

Ne-Yo's services are no longer needed for the R. Kelly Double Up Tour, said AOL News.

According to a Def Jam Records "crooner," Ne-Yo was informed of his permanent banishment on November 19 - five days after the tour started. A tour spokesperson told Billboard that Ne-Yo's departure was due to "contractual dispute," said AOL News. However, the singer's manager and business partner, Tango, feels it's because his talent can overshadow the headliner, R. Kelly. "The fans were really feeling his performances," Tango said. "He's good; maybe he's too good. That's the problem." Ne-Yo stated that he was "doing everything possible to make a tour a success." "I don't understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour and performing," he said.

The Double Up Tour is still underway - R. Kelly, Keyshia Cole and J. Holiday will be touring nationwide until January 13.
