Neverland Valley Ranch Is Being Sold To The Highest Bidder

Michael Jackson's famous property in California may be foreclosed.

Neverland may never be Michael Jackson's land again. Unless the King of Pop comes up with $25 million in outstanding property fees, his legendary ranch will be sold on March 19 to the highest bidder at a public auction on the steps of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.

According to Reuters, Jackson has been formally notified of the foreclosure of his home. Jackson's publicist has not made an official statement about the foreclosure notice.

Jackson named Neverland after the island where children never grow up in the classic stories of Peter Pan. The property is a 2,800 acre ranch consisting of a private zoo and an amusement park. Jackson has not spent much time at the ranch since he was acquitted on charges accusing him of giving a young boy alcohol and then sexually molesting him.

Michael Jackson is responsible for the 1980s "Thriller," one of the top selling albums of all time. Since then, he has experienced extreme fame and media attention for his sometimes strange behavior.
