New Avatar Photo Released

Zoe Saldana, who is most known for her role in "Star Trek," is going to be in James Cameron's upcoming movie, "Avatar." A photo of her character, Neytiri, was just released with many other promotions for the film.

It took over 14 years for this film to be brought to the big screen because the technology needed to be up to par. "Avatar" uses CGI animation to create a likeness to the physical characteristics of the actors. Each actor's face is still recognizable, or else viewers would not be able to differentiate between the different avatars.

"Avatar" also stars Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington, Michelle Rodriguez, and Stephen Lang. It is Cameron's first narrative feature film since 1997's "Titanic." It opens in theaters on December 18th.
