New Bond Movie Dominates Global Box Office

The movie has not been released yet in the United States.

Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond film, shot up to the top of the international box office. It made $38.6 million in the opening weekend, which is significantly less than it is expected to make in its opening weekend in the United States.

The action thriller, starring Daniel Craig, made $25.3 million in the United Kingdom alone.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year came in second place with $25.9 million, and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa brought in $17.8 million in a lesser amount of cinemas.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe's Body of Lies came in fourth with $10.8 million, which was closely followed by Burn After Reading.
