A New Guardian for Jackson's Children

The Los Angeles Supreme Court reached a decision, Monday, about the future caretaker of Michael Jackson's three children.

The Los Angeles Supreme Court Judge gave Katherine Jackson guardianship of Michael Jackson's three kids Monday morning. The decision was reached after the court received consent forms signed by Paris and Prince Michael Jackson choosing to stay with Katherine.

Judge Michael Beckloff granted Jackson's mother leave to raise the children but gave the children's natural mother, Debbie Rowe, visitation rights. He also ruled that a dispensation of a separate monthly allowance from Jackson's estate for both Katherine and the children was in order.

The only bad news for Katherine is that she will have to make do with a little less money than planned. The judge awarded 83.5 percent of the requested allowance for the children—a sum that will be reviewed after six months. The one surprise of the day was Jackson's dermatologist's last minute expression of disapproval of the custodial agreement.
