New image of Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer in Tim Burton’s ‘Dark Shadows’ leaked

A new image for Tim Burton’s film adaptation of Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer will be released in the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly. While the magazine has not published the picture online yet, it has leaked, appearing on several sites.

Coming Soon reported that the Depp fan site, Johnny Depp Italia, managed to get ahold of the image, which shows Depp in full makeup, hovering over the shoulder of Pfeiffer. FirstShowing also reports that Bloody-Disgusting posted the image as well.

While this is the first time that we have seen Depp in makeup, Celebuzz did post on-set photographs of Depp under a hat. In September, Entertainment Weekly posted a group photo, but Depp was mostly in the background.

Dark Shadows is based on the late-1960s supernatural soap opera and also stars Eva Green, Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Moretz, Helena Bonham Carter, Jackie Earle Haley, Christopher Lee and Bella Heathcote, notes CinemaBlend. Even though the film is released on May 11, there still has been no trailer released yet.

In the film, Depp plays a vampire named Barnabas Collins, who wakes up in 1972 after being asleep in a tomb for two centuries, according to Coming Soon. Pfeiffer stars as Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, who is the matriarch to the modern Collins family.
