The first episode of "The Jay Leno Show" won't air until Sept. 14, but the flagship round of guests is sure to catch the eye of hip young viewers.
According to People, the premiere will feature a performance by rap/R&B stars Rihanna, Jay-Z and Kanye West to usher in the former "Tonight Show" host's newest late night program.
The trio is scheduled to perform "Run This Town," a track from Jay-Z's latest album "The Blueprint," reports the Associated Press. Though both Leno and NBC, the network airing the "Show," said there will be fewer musical acts on the new "Leno," the program will "feature interesting combinations of performers," reports the Washington Post.
Rihanna's performance Sept. 14 will represent one of only a few public singing engagements since the young star was allegedly assaulted by her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, in February. Brown is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 27, according to People.
Leno exited his hosting duties for "The Tonight Show" in May. "Jay Leno" will represent his return to primetime.
