'New Moon' DVD Extras Have Some Surprises
Screaming girls from across the country gathered in droves at Midnight to celebrate the DVD release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. But the DVD extras might not exactly fulfill expectations.
“They will probably be surprised that none of the kids are on the commentary,” New Moon director Chris Weitz tells Entertainment Weekly.
Instead of hearing Robert Pattinson’s lovely British annotations, fans will listen to Weitz and New Moon film editor Peter Lambert joke around like old buddies.
A six-part documentary on the making of New Moon is included in the extras. Weitz tells EW between the CGI effects and shooting in Italy, the film was a “massive undertaking,” so fans will be excited to see how all the aspects came together.
Weitz also tells EW it’s highly doubtful he’ll direct the last installment in the franchise, Breaking Dawn, and that he’s glad to see Twilight’s young stars like Anna Kendrick and Kristen Stewart doing well in their careers.
