"New Moon" Rises On DVD In MARCH!

Most recent 'Twilight' installment coming soon to DVD.

Twilighters unite! The werewolf packed sequel to Twilight is coming to DVD.

New Moon, the second of four (perhaps five) movie installments of Stephanie Meyer's best seller, hits shelves on March 20. Legions of fans flooded movie theaters across the country when the film was released last year.

New Moon begins where Twilight left off. The passionate, budding romance between star-crossed lovers, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), continues to bloom. On Bella's 18th birthday, a paper cut gone wrong sends her flying through the air as Edward keeps his brother, Jasper, from lunging at her. Because of the unexpected incident, Edward abandons Bella leaving her alone and heartbroken.

The object of millions of tween’s affections, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), makes his re-entry as a handsome, chiseled member of the newly-introduced wolf pack taking this modern-day, sci-fi version of Romeo and Juliet into uncharted territory.

The bulk of the movie follows Bella dealing with her love and Jacob's transition from best friend into perhaps something more. A steamy, yet PG rated, love triangle is the perfect recipe to induce high-picthed, teen-girl's squeals everywhere.

Poor reviews did not stop the film from grossing millions and dominating the box office for weeks. Rotten Tomatoes gave the picture 4.9/10, and Rogert Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times offered, "Since they know it all and we know all, sitting through this experience is like driving a pickup in low gear though a sullen sea of Brylcreem." Claudia Puig of USA Today added, "New Moon, the film version, does nothing to add depth to a shallow tale."

Summit Entertainment reported Moon’s earnings on opening weekend were a phenomenal $140.7 million dollars, including the record breaking $26.3 million dollar midnight opening earnings and the $72.7 million opening day/single day record.
