New Reality Show To Utilize Cop-Cams

You've never seen Cops quite like this.

Gone are the days when cop chases are filmed by a third party or, God-forbid, a stationary camera on the dashboard. A new reality TV show is coming on the scene, boasting a head-mounted camera to show you the action from law enforcement's point of view.

Currently, the project is still in the works, although a deal is nearly done between Bade Productions and a major cable network. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project has the working title "POV-PD."

"We are truly excited to partner with industry leaders Base Prods. to give our law-enforcement customers a direct outlet to tell their riveting stories of heroism and self-sacrifice," said Rick Smith, CEO and founder of Taser International. " 'POV-PD' will provide a new platform of longform television to show the public the challenges and heroic actions of law enforcement, recorded from the visual perspective of the men and women who put their lives on the line every day."

The cameras are about the size of a Bluetooth and are currently being tested in San Jose, California. Police popularity is at a new low in the region, so this new addition could either make it a little better or a lot worse.
