Seven homicide detectives are heading a new investigation into the shooting death of Notorious B.I.G., according to the Associated Press.
The new task force comes as the rapper's mother, Voletta Wallace, and other family members filed a law suit claiming rouge police officers were involved in his death, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The first trial ended in a mistrial when it was revealed a police officer hid statements by an informant linking two officers to the shooting.
