Nick Cannon Defends Mariah Carey
Nick Cannon told MTV News that his wife, Mariah Carey, had a human moment at Jackson's memorial service on Tuesday.
Carey apologized to her twitter followers and on the "Today" show for getting emotional while she sang the song, "I'll Be There." Carey felt she "let everybody down," reports MTV News.
Cannon says Carey was not the only one to get emotional at the service. "It's tough on anybody," he said. "We seen all the performances, and everybody was emotional, so I think she was just trying to say she had a human moment and that was one of those things. It wasn't about the entertainment. It was about just having that moment."
Cannon also told MTV how moving it was to see the Staples Center full. "Packed, but it was still silent. It was one of those things where everybody was there to pay respects to the greatest entertainer that ever lived," he said.
