Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo get married

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo tied the knot this past Friday on top of a cliff overlooking Necker Island.

The scenic beauty was only meant for the couple and their close family and friends. People reports that only 35 people were present to witness the marriage.

"[Vanessa and my wedding is] for us, for the people in our lives who are close to us and mean a lot to us," Lachey said, according to Us Magazine. "That's the way we wanted it, and I'm happy we're able to do it that way."

The couple was so determined to keep their wedding small that they even sent the wedding invitations in the form of plane tickets, People reports.

The couple had a difficult time deciding whether or not they wanted reality cameras to document their wedding and broadcast it on TLC. "We kind of wrestled with that for a while, for obvious reasons," Lachey admitted to the reporters. “Having done reality TV in the past, I didn't necessarily want to jump right back into it without having thought it through to great length, and we did."
