Nickelback Becomes Latest to Sign with Live Nation

The band is well known for their singles, "Photograph" and "How You Remind Me."

Just one week after Live Nation signed Shakira to a contract that covers recordings, touring, merchandise and other rights, the entertainment marketing company made another splash by signing Nickelback.

The Canadian rock band, much like Live Nation's other clients, is an extremely successful band. They have sold more than 26 million albums, and their latest CD, All the Right Reasons, has had a longer time on the Billboard charts than any other current album.

The contract will reportedly cover three album and touring cycles, with an option for a fourth, but the exact financial details have not been released at this point.

Live Nation, who owns the majority of the large music venues across the United States, is quickly becoming the center of the music industry. They have signed many extremely popular musical acts, including the aforementioned Shakira, U2, Jay-Z and Madonna.
