Nicki Minaj announces release date of 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded'

Nicki Minaj tweeted to her millions of followers yesterday, “Heeeee’s baaaaccckkkkk.” Which to fans only meant one thing. Roman, Minaj’s alter ego is back.

MTV News reported that Nicki Minaj would be releasing Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on Valentine’s Day. Minaj was going to break the news over a live web stream with fans, but the rapper tweeted the full statement early, saying, "Its not called Roman Reloaded. Its called PINK FRIDAY : ROMAN RELOADED!!!!!! 4 WORDS!!!! Love u guys soooo much!!! VALENTINES DAY.”

There is no word yet if Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded will be a reissue of her platinum-selling album Pink Friday or if this is a new album with original Nicki Minaj tracks.

There have been rumors that this album will be mostly original music though, because Young Money Records has mentioned that Minaj will be coming out with a new full album in 2012. No word yet on any collaborations on the album.

Young Money Records has been enjoying a lot of success this year, Drake’s album Take Care is predicted to top the Billboard top 200 charts.

USA Today added that Billboard magazine will be honoring Nicki Minaj with its rising star of 2011 award. Minaj will be accepting this award on December 2 at the Women in Music Event.
