Nicolas Cage confirms that he is not a vampire to David Letterman (Video)

By Daniel S Levine,

Nicolas Cage is now doing the rounds on talk shows to promote Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, a sequel to the 2007 film. Cage appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, where Letterman confronted the actor about the recent rumors that he is, in fact, a vampire.

The wild rumor started a few months ago when an eBay seller posted a listing for a Civil War-era photograph of a Tennessee man who bore a bizarre resemblance to Cage, according to The Los Angeles Times. This discovery forced the seller to come to the conclusion that Cage must be a vampire, which is why he still looks so young.

Cage had never publicly commented on the rumor until his appearance on Letterman. “I don’t drink blood and last time I looked in the mirror, I had a reflection, so I’m not going with the vampire theory,” Cage said, reports the New York Daily News.

As The Daily Mail notes, Cage, who should know a thing or two about demonic characters since he has played so many in his career, continued to disprove to eBay seller. “...There's a photograph of me, but you can't take pictures of vampires,” he said.

Shortly after Cage was declared a vampire, John Travolta was declared a time traveler by a seller who claimed an 1860s photograph of a man, combined with Scientology’s belief that time travel could be possible, proved that Travolta could travel back in time. Unlike Cage, Travolta has yet to deny his supposed supernatural appilities.
