Although Ghost Rider was notoriously known as being one of Nicolas Cage's worst flops, Columbia Pictures has decided to give the Marvel comic another chance with Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Ology.com reports.
The second installment will grace theaters in 2012. In the film, Johnny Blaze will be gallivanting through Europe, going up against his employer, Satan, who tries to possess the body of a child.
The cast has been well-thought out -- Ciaran Hinds, Idris Elba, Christopher Lambert, and others are set to join the franchise. Cage will also be playing Zarathos, "the demon who inhabits [Blaze], as well as Blaze himself."
This spirit will not be the film's villain -- that is, of course, Satan's job -- but it is the "spirit" that the movie title refers to.
