Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Pregnant and Engaged?

Nicole Richie has been under severe scrutiny for the last few years from the "Simple Life" to her public de-friending and re-friending of Paris Hilton and her severe weight loss. In December she was arrested after driving the wrong way on a California highway and was suspected of driving under the influence. In February she pleaded not guilty to the charge; she was also convicted of driving under the influence in June 2003. In California if a person is convicted of DUI twice within 10 years they may be subject to between 90 days and a year in jail as well as having their driving privileges revoked.

Richie, the 25-year old daughter of singer Lionel Richie, has been facing other rumors recently as well. Reports that she is pregnant and engaged have surfaced within the past few months. She has been dating Joel Madden, the lead singer of Good Charlotte and former Hillary Duff flame, for the past six-months. TMZ and InTouch has supposedly confirmed that the couple is expecting a child. "Nicole didn't want to tell anyone until she was past three months," a "pal" told InTouch. "She really kept the news from everyone." The fashionista is set to appear in court on July 11th for her DUI trial.
