Nicole Richie Court Appearance

On Monday, Nicole Richie was granted a permanent restraining order against a few paparazzi. The order is against Eduardo Cerri Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel. Judge Carol Boas Goodson has ruled the two photographers must stay 50 yards away from Richie, her children, her vehicle or any car they are in.

The effects of the order will last until Nov. 16 2012.

The incident occurred on Oct. 5. when Richie stated she was driving her vehicle, a 2008 Range Rover, and the photographers had been following her. Nicole said she was driving to a business meeting, east on Wilshire, with three cars following her. She stated that at a stop she was rear ended.

Richie later testified that both defendants came 30 ft on her property.

Joel Madden, Nicole's husband, testified his wife was "hysterical" when she called him after the accident and that the photographers were driving erratically.
