No Deal for Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul won't be judging "Star Search."

ABC and the former "American Idol" judge couldn't come to an agreement on judging a reboot of the classic talent show.

The report claims the source also said: "She was offered a lot of money," adding that "it looks like we hit the end of the road with Paula."

Fox offered Abdul $5 million to continue being a judge on "Idol last year, which she rejected. Abdul was reluctant to take a lower salary for "Search". And ABC was, naturally, reluctant to yield in such high figures for launching an untested reality show into a marketplace that's crowded with successful talent competitions.

Since ABC's interest in "Star Search" was heavily tied to Abdul participating in the show, the outcome puts the fate of the show in doubt.

Although Abdul is not going to be judging "Star Search" her shocking departure from American Idol last year, raises speculations about her next move.
