No Doubt Filed a Lawsuit Against the Makers of "Guitar Hero"

No Doubt files lawsuit against Activision for "Band Hero" video game.

The band No Doubt filed a lawsuit against the makers of the new "Guitar Hero" video game, according to TMZ.

The band is suing Activision, makers of "Guitar Hero," for transforming them into a "virtual karaoke circus act."

The new game called "Band Hero" has more than 60 songs even though the contract between the rock band and the company stated they were allowed up to three songs. The video game also features a tool in which you can manipulate Gwen Stefani's character into singing the Rolling Stones song "Honky Tonk Women" in a male voice, and manipulate Tony Kanal's character into singing No Doubt's "Just a Girl" in a female voice.

The band is suing for an injunction that prohibits the unauthorized use of No Doubts name and likeness. The band is also asking for a temporary restraining order and a permanent injunction against the distribution of the video game and the recall of existing copies by the company.
