No Doubt Kicks Off Summer Tour
Alternative rock group, No Doubt, kicked off their first tour in over five years on Saturday. The band rocked the house with a 90-minute set at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. According to People magazine, lead singer, Gwen Stefani addressed the audience and said, "You always remember your first show of any tour, and so far, so, so, so good."
No Doubt cranked out such hits as "I'm Just a Girl" and "Don't Speak," reportedly sending the audience into a frenzy.
No Doubt's latest single is a cover of Adam and the Ants "Stand and Deliver." This is the first single they have released since "It's My Life" in 2003. However, the band plans to write and record more music for their upcoming album while on tour this summer.
"The only reason we're doing the tour is to feel inspired," Stefani, 39, told the Las Vegas crowd of 12,000.
The 55 city tour concludes on August 12, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
