No exercising in public for Ricky Gervais.

Public gyms? No thanks, British comedian Ricky Gervais has his own.

"The Office" creator tells the November issue of Britain's Psychologies Magazine that he and girlfriend Jane Fallen recently bought a new home in New York reports people.com.

He says the best thing about his new pad is that it has, "a gym in the basement."

This was a selling point for 47-year-old Gervais who jokes that the home gym is, "So I never have to exercise in public.

He admits that he's more of a take it easy kind of guy.

"My favorite thing in the world is to come home, have a swim, put my pajamas on and open a bottle of wine."

The comedian, writer and director said that though he has issue with his body now, he didn't always feel grim about his reflection.

"Twenty years ago, it was a joy. I used to love standing in front of the mirror going 'Yeah!' Now it's just disappointing. But I spent so much time looking at myself in my twenties, I'm probably just starting to break even."
