No Reality for Blagojevich

The ex-governor's television hopes have been dashed.

Former governor of Illinois Rod Blagojevich was planning on being on a reality show. But his plans have been shot down.

Blagojevich was hoping to be a contestant on the upcoming NBC show, I'm a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here, and requested that his travel restrictions be loosened in order to travel to Costa Rica for the show. But according to Reuters, Judge James Zagel refused, saying, "I do not have confidence that things will not go astray if I modify bond conditions."

Unfortunately for Blagojevich, NBC doesn't plan to support him. In response to the judge's decision, they said, "NBC is disappointed in the court's decision today regarding Rod Blagojevich's participation on 'I'm a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!' but . . . there are no plans to move the show to a location in the United States."

Blagojevich faces charges of racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud, extortion conspiracy, attempted extortion and making false statements, according to the Associated Press.
