Noel Gallagher Apologizies to Fans After Quitting Oasis
Noel Gallagher, former chief songwriter and lead guitarist for the band, Oasis, apologized to fans in a statement posted on the group's Web site, oasisinet.com.
"Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz, [Germany] and Milan, [Italy]," the post said.
Gallagher left the band Friday because of the rocky relationship with his brother, Liam Gallagher. The band's spokeswoman said the other band members would think about continuing without Noel Gallagher, according to BBC News.
The group was touring to promote its new album, "Dig Out Your Soul."
Alan McGee, who discovered Oasis, said, "It's obviously the worst fall-out that they've ever had, and they've had some pretty bad ones." McGee predicted that the band will get back together again because the brothers "love each other."
The group has canceled all remaining shows on its world tour.
The group formed in 1991 and has not always been able to complete tours because of the brothers' relationship.
