Not the First Time Rihanna Was Abused by Chris Brown

Information from a recent police report suggests that this is not the first time Rihanna and Chris Brown were in a physical altercation.

New information has surfaced to suggest that the altercation this weekend between Rihanna and boyfriend Chris Brown was not the first. Rihanna has reportedly told authorities that Chris Brown has abused her before the recent highly publicized attack.

TMZ.com reported Thursday that the alleged incident was one in a stream of several ongoing and escalating episodes of violence. No further details of abuse were given from the confidential police file that was cited.

Daily News previously reported that the shocking fight began after Brown received a suggestive text message following a pre-Grammy celebration Saturday night. Rihanna, 20, reacted: "She pulled away. That's when she's told people he hit her," one source said.

The pop star was left with visible injuries. The same source followed up by saying that Rihanna has been cooperating with the investigation while giving the cold shoulder to Brown. Brown, meanwhile, is still due for another interview. He was released Sunday on $50,000 bail.
