Oasis Drummer Quits Band

The news of Zak Starkey's departure comes via "The Sun."

Oasis drummer Zak Starkey has quit the band, according to reports from The Sun.

This leaves the critically acclaimed band from Manchester, England without a drummer in the promotional process before their new record's release.

Starkey's exit was reportedly brought on because of a falling out with lead singer/frontman and internally surly Noel Gallagher. Therefore, the band's new record, which was recently completed, will be Starkey's last with Oasis.

The newspaper quotes a source near the band explaining the two's history by saying: "There have been arguments with Noel Gallagher and general disagreements."

No official announcement has come from the band regarding Starkey's exit, possible replacements or anything regarding the future of the band.

Oasis are due to head out on a tour of the United States in August, and, according to music magazine NME, are due to announce many more live dates in the very near future.
