President Barack Obama appeared on "The Daily Show" Wednesday night, marking the first time a current president appeared on the show. The entire episode was dedicated to the interview.

In the midst of campaigning for the Democrats before the midterm elections, President Obama spoke in a humorously candid interview with host Jon Stewart.

The President spoke about topics ranging from unemployment to the healthcare bill, in which Stewart marked the Obama administration as "timid" about vital legislation, including the health care bill.

"Sometimes I don't even know what you want in health legislation," Stewart asked.

President Obama responds, "Jon, I love your show but this is something where I have a profound disagreement with you — I don't want to lump you in with other pundits." He respectfully added that a health-care bill that covers 30 million people shouldn't be considered "timid."

"This is what I think most people would see as significant piece of legislation as we've seen in this country's history," he added.

He also rather boldly suggested Stewart make changes to his upcoming rally on the National Mall, The Rally to Restore Sanity.

“You know, the one other thing that might have made a difference is if you had held the Rally to Restore Sanity two years ago,” Obama said.

So, what do you think: did Obama put Stewart in his place or was it a light hearted comical interview?
