Residents of Los Angeles had to find a different way to commute to work yesterday. President Barack Obama arrived at the Sony lot for a Democratic National Committee fund-raiser.

Deadline reports that, due to security reason, the Sony lot shut down at 2pm yesterday. The lot was closed today as well because of Good Friday.

According to the L.A. Times the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement, "Every effort is being made to minimize the impact to the residential communities and businesses affected by the president’s visit, although it is not always possible to provide advanced information regarding the specific routes of travel involving the president, we are committed to utilizing traffic control measures that minimize the impact upon commuters while still maintaining the safety of the president as well as the communities involved."

Obama’s visit to Los Angeles last summer shut down many roads, causing half-hour commutes to become 3-hour nightmares.
