The OC Recap 4/20

It's the return of Anna and Theresa.

This week it's "perspective students week" at colleges. Ryan and Marissa are off to Berkeley and Seth and Summer to Brown, though none of them are going together.

Seth's plan is to go there and try to get them to admit him and he doesn't plan on running into Summer.

Kirsten takes the boys to the airport without Sandy because he had an "important" business meeting.

As Kirsten is leaving the airport, she sees Theresa with a baby and can't help but wonder if Ryan is the father.

Marissa tells Summer that she was going through something and that whatever she was doing with Volchok is over. She tells her that all she has to do is pick up her stuff at his house. Summer says she can't go there because when she sees his dirty mattress it will be dirty make up sex waiting to happen.

She tells Marissa that 48 hours ago she was Newport's Courtney Love; she needs to take baby steps. Marissa decides to just meet Volchok at the diner instead.

Julie tells Marissa that she can go with her as her scientology guide, but Marissa assures her that her partying ways are over.

Dr. Roberts has a retirement party for the head of surgery to go to on the weekend and asks Julie if she would finally go to one of these things with him. He tells her to invite Kirsten and Sandy if she wants.

Ryan gets a "freshman buddy" to show him around Berkeley.

Volchok meets Marissa but doesn't bring her stuff. He wants to know why she just up and bailed. She talks about the Sound of Music and how she always wanted to be just like the girl in the movie and she's not ready to give up that dream yet.

Kirsten meets up with Sandy and tells him about Theresa. He tells her to not tell Ryan about it and Kirsten seems upset about his decision.

Seth is at Brown and runs into Anna of all people.

Anna tells Seth that she's so proud of him because she saw Atomic County and it's great. He tells her that it's not his anymore because he gave it to Zach in exchange for Summer.

He tells her that he hasn't got into Brown yet and asks for her help. She tells him there's a "meet the faculty" tonight and the head of admissions will be there. Kirsten tells Julie that her and Sandy have hit a bit of a rough patch and isn't sure if she wants to go to the party, but Julie convinces her.

Ryan finally runs into Marissa, but she goes and sits at another table. Ryan's freshman buddy goes and sits with her.

Seth gets the head of admissions to talk to him the next day and then runs into Summer. So now she thinks that Seth wanted to go to Brown just not with her. Then Anna shows up and now Summer thinks Seth wants to be with her.

Ryan and Marissa run into each other again and decide that they want to try to be friends again.

Anna tells Seth that she's still going to help him and finds out where Summer might be the next day so he can talk to her.

Sandy is talking to Ryan on the phone, but gets off quickly for a business call. Kirsten gets annoyed with him, so she decides to tell Ryan about Theresa.

Seth tries to tell Summer the truth, but she won't let him talk. She says she doesn't need an explanation, she gets it. He broke up with her to date smart women at college, which isn't the least bit true. She tells him to leave her alone.

Ryan goes home early to find out about Theresa.

Seth finally has a meeting with the head of admissions, but he was under the impression he was an admitted student but he listens to him anyway. Seth tells him some silly reasons why he should be admitted, but he's not buying it. Seth then tells him that he actually needs to get in because of a girl, THE girl. That he buys, but he says they make commitments when they send out those letters and they stick to them.

Sandy finds out that Kirsten told Ryan about Theresa and is mad at her. They get into a fight and he leaves to go to a meeting.

Marissa finds out from the freshman buddy that Ryan left early and she decides to do the same thing.

Ryan goes to Theresa's house, but she's not there. He does see her son though. The babysitter tells Ryan that she'll tell Theresa he stopped by.

Seth is going to leave, but Anna tells him they have one stop to make first at the school of design. She tells him to apply Atomic County as his application. Plus, she has an "in" there.

Sandy & Kirsten and Julie and Dr. Roberts are at the party and Sandy spends his time meeting all the doctors.

Marissa goes to Ryan's and he tells her about Theresa. She tells him that he looked happy at Berkeley and he'll get that back.

Sandy makes a toast at the party and introduces Kirsten to everyone. She gets up and says something about how she didn't realize she had married her father. And then she leaves and drinks an entire glass of wine in record time.

Summer tells Marissa about Seth and Marissa asks her if Seth explained. She says no because her rage prevents her from listening. Marissa tells her to not assume anything until she knows what he has to say.

So apparently the people at the design school were "very impressed" with Seth's Atomic County. He says if he gets in it's all because of Anna and then he hugs her and, of course, Summer sees them.

Marissa goes to Volchok's to get her stuff and he's sleeping. She grabs her box and notices a copy of the Sound of Music on the table. Because of this, she gets into bed and lies next to him. Maybe Volchok isn't as bad of a guy as we think.

Theresa goes to see Ryan and tells him he's not the father. She got a paternity test and it's Eddie's. He asks her if she'd like to grab a bite to eat so they can catch up and she says she'd like that.
