Octomom Is Buying Her La Habra Home

Nadya Suleman claims she is purchasing her own home.

According to the Associated Press, "Octomom" Nadya Suleman said in a video that she, not her father, is paying for her new house.

The video, posted on RadarOnline.com, is of Nadya Suleman arguing what the listing agent said earlier, that her father was buying the house. Suleman also said that she was leasing the home with an option to buy.

Mike Patel, a listing agent for Prudential Realty, confirmed Wednesday that the title for the home was made out to Ed Doud, Suleman's father. Patel also said that the house was being purchased, not leased.

Suleman made the video during a walkthrough of the 2,583-square-foot home in La Habra, Calif. The four-bedroom, three-bathroom house listed for $564,900.

Suleman said she is buying the house with money from "opportunities" she has chosen, but did not expand on what they were.

Suleman gave birth to octuplets on Jan. 26, nine weeks premature. They are the longest-surviving set of octuplets. According to Suleman, all but two of them are ready to leave the hospital and that they would be released, two at a time, after officials from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center inspect the home.

Suleman has said that she is hoping to receive donations from Angels in Waiting to help cover the costs of childcare, however, no donations have been made as of yet.
