Octomom Continues to Demand Spotlight
She has been in the media spotlight consistently since the birth of her eight infants in January, and is not giving it up.
Suleman is filing for a federal trademark of the name, "Octomom," according to CNN, to ensure that this spotlight stays both bright and properly placed. The trademark is sought for the infamous mother's new TV show along with a line of diapers.
Two applications were filed Friday with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Washington. One will cover OctoMom (spelled with a capital "M") disposable and textile diapers, dresses, pants and shirts. The other is for OctoMom "entertainment in the nature of ongoing television programs in the field of variety," as reported by CNN.
Suleman's lawyer, Jeff Czech, would not say if she had a deal with any production company or programming company in particular. "I have been in negotiations with production companies, but no agreements have been reached," said Czech.
