Octomom Faces Foreclosure
Octomom Nadya Suleman may be kicked out of her $564,900 home. According to E! Online, The mother of eight will have to find a new place to stay that will accommodate her 14 children and her father.
The two-story, four bedroom, three bath residence in La Habra, Calif., was sold to Ed Suleman (Octomom’s dad) last year in exchange for monthly payments of $4,130. Amer Haddin, the original property owner, agreed not to charge the Suleman’s any interest on the property until March 10 when a lump sum of $450,00 was due, according to Los Angeles’ KABC.
No banks were involved in the sale of the home. Ed Suleman came up with the down payment on the assumption that Nadya would pay off the balance.
Yet, that assumption was incorrect. Instead of accepting the $135,000 for child care assistance offered by the government, Nadya tried to use her “celebrity” status to bring in money for the family of 14. However, that money was used to take care of her children.
If she does not pay the rest of the lump sum she will be forced to move out. And being homeless is a harsh reality.
