O'Donnell Surprising Choice to Join 'The View"

Rosie O'Donnell is speculated to be joining as the fifth co-host of the TV show, "The View" to replace Meredith Vieira. ABC is expected to confirm the replacement Friday. According to reports, O'Donnell beat out Connie Chung, Soledad O'Brien and Patricia Heaton for a spot on the nine-year old show. O'Donnell will join Star Jones, Joy Behar and Barbara Walters. Vieira is leaving the show to replace Katie Couric on NBC's "Today" show. O'Donnell gained a loyal following during her solo talk show days-she averaged around 2.5 million views during her six years on air. O'Donnell also won six Daytime Emmy awards for best talk show host.
